Cutie the Cougar met some PAWsome, and HONEST Grandparents yesterday in Berkeley Springs!This week, we will meet a special group of people from our community....GRANDPARENTS!
Since yesterday celebrated "Grandparent's Day" we will think about those special people who care for us. Some of us get to know our grandparents, others may have special neighbors and friends who are senior citizens. Remember, they have years and years of wisdom and knowledge to help guide us to follow positive actions too. Take a look at this abuela, or grandmother:

Positive Actions will appear in our schools this year and begins today on a journey together to discover that starting with positive thoughts, we can choose positive actions, and help us to gain positive feelings! Take a look at our logo:

Our PAWsitive Action "word of the week"is: HONESTY
For Positive Actions, we are learning about wonderful words that build our Social and Emotional Wellness to help us all get along (at home, school, and in the community), raise our student assets, build confidence, and improve our academics! HONESTY, or to be truthful and telling the truth even when it is hard, is a POSITIVE Action. Why? Because we can be a trusted friend when we are HONEST, and our teachers need us to be HONEST in order to help us learn here at school. We'll talk more about this for the Daily Vlogcast, so keep watching!
