Value Video Ved, Week 36, LOVE on 5/13/2020

...where ALL students are UNIQUE and Wonderfully Made!

Today is VALUE VIDEO "V"EDNESDAY!

Let's make some FAMILY ART!  Let's peak in and see some fun over at a friends house where the family is creating cool stuff!

Blaine, Brady, and Blake join Dad around the kitchen table.  Here is today's new fun Family Art activity:
Notice the leaf from outside?

Wednesday 5/13- This evening we will be using leaves, crayons and white paper (or light colored paper.)  Take a nature walk with your family and collect flat leaves. They can have holes and bumps. After you gather your leaves, choose a few different colored crayons and peel the paper off so the crayon is smooth. Place the leaf underneath your paper, lay a crayon on its side and rub over the leaf as pictured below in the left picture, creating an image of the leaf on the paper. You can use several leaves and several different colors to create your masterpiece! (PLEASE SEND YOUR CREATIONS TO amanda@morganpartnership.org WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROJECT) 😊
We are so excited to be back with students for Positive Actions today, May 13, 2020!  On Wednesdays, we will be examining Value Video Vednesdays when we will take a look at positive values to help us grow into a caring community of students in Morgan County Schools.  Next, see a new place in Morgan County where we found POSITIVE ACTIONS. Watch today's VALUE VIDEO VEDNESDAY! Then, stay tuned for the "final 30" seconds and see if YOU know:
"Where in Morgan County Are PAWsitive Actions?"

 That was fun!

Fun Friday, RESPECT, w/JUDGE MCLAUGHLIN, 4/24/2020

...where ALL students are UNIQUE and Wonderfully Made!

Time for POSITIVE ACTIONS!
Today is FUN FRIDAY where we see that our community cares about the students in
Morgan County Schools!

We are so excited to be back for Positive Actions today, April 24, 2020! Each Fun Friday in Positive Actions, we celebrate the PAWsome community where we live and meet a new friend who cares about YOU!

Our community has some super amazing folks who are excellent ROLE MODELS and PAWsitive Partners!  In fact, many people are doing Positive Actions to RESPECT others health by staying home, right!  Today, we have a very important guest.  Her job is to RESPECT the law and make sure others do too!  Wow!  There's that good 'ole Golden Rule, again! First, GERM WEEK shares some KNOWLEDGE about what a virus is; then, meet Judge McLaughlin.  She CARES about YOU!

Some days are hard (like really hard recently, right?); but with Positive Thoughts, Actions, and Feelings, YOU can make choices to help you and others have a Positive future!

Here are a few questions for you:
1)  Think about someone in your family.  What positive action did they do today?
2)  Now, think about someone in our school community.  What is one Positive Action you saw that you liked?  Next, be sure to tell that person "thanks!" for being Positive!
3)  Next, we are going to do a Positive Action Activity together.           First, THINK:  Who is someone you respect?  Got it?
Next, ACTION:  Tell them you respect them!  Do it!  Say, "I respect you (mom, dad, teacher, sibling, Judge McLaughlin, etc....)" You can say it, email, call, or text them!
Finally, FEELING: How do you feel?  POSITIVE! And so will they!

Remember, it is a Positive Action to follow the Golden Rule because changing the world starts with one student at a time...and that is.....

YOU!

Stand up, and let's sing the MoCo Kids' Creed!

MoTo Monday, RESPECT for 4/20/2020, GERM WEEK!

...where ALL students are UNIQUE and Wonderfully Made!

Welcome Morgan County FAMILIES to
POSITIVE ACTIONS!

The Morgan County Partnership is soooo pleased to provide our greater community with continued online Positive Actions programming with our regularly scheduled
"Daily PAWsitive Actions Community Vlogcast"
for families to share Positive Actions together!
Our Social and Emotional Wellness will be supported as we, especially now, continue each day with positive
THOUGHTS, ACTIONS, and FEELINGS!
SO, LET'S GET STARTED!!!!

More than ever these days, we can change the world with RESPECT!  How PAWsome that our regularly scheduled Positive Word of the Week 33, for April 13-17, 2020, is
RESPECT!
It may seem hard to be respectful as we are all staying at home; but, did you know that helping each other be healthy is RESPECT!  So remember this: When you wash your hands often....that's RESPECT too!  And, "staying home" is also hard, we know; but, it is a Positive Action that helps us show RESPECT for others so we all can be healthy!
Social Distancing can, and will, stop the virus.

Mrs. Hott and Mrs. Sheima are SUPER excited to share Positive Actions with Morgan County students because today, and each Monday, is when we "motor-up" YOUR school week and get ready for more PAWsome days of learning and growing...
"MOTO Monday!"
or, "Motovation Monday" where we will see a vlog to get our week "motored-up" with positive thoughts, actions, and feelings!
Today is April 20, 2020!
This week, we also work on our Intellectual Wellness too as we gain valuable KNOWLEDGE about viruses for
GERM WEEK!

Get ready to be inspired......watch this!

Social & Emotional Wellness!

Maybe you've been hearing the word "social distancing" lately?  That means for our physical health, we need to be staying home for a while.  However, if we remember toTHINK positive, we CAN be social remotely with digital media, or #AloneTogether, right?  So, keep reading our Daily PAWsitive Actions Community Vlogcast and Mrs. Hott and Mrs. Sheima will be here with you!

For mom & dad: "Social-Emotional WellnessEmotional wellnesssocial skills, and life skills are important tools for children to develop. They affect how children view themselves, interact with others, evaluate challenges, and explore choices. This includes handling stress, negative feelings, and difficult situations positively."
Here is a video for parents suggested by Dr. Kevin McLaughlin.  If you have a teen at home, please watch, then share this valuable video as it discusses the teenagers brain and how the Stay Home Order is difficult, and how important their part is to help stop the virus:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hHkr6kUGEE

In order to help our emotions be healthy and well, we will be talking about a PAWsome word this week, RESPECT!

Our PAWsitive Action "word of the week" is: respect
And in Spanish:  respeto
Try to say "respeto"!
(TRY THIS in Spanish FOR THE  PRONOUNCIATION, then click the speaker!)

For Positive Actions, we are learning about wonderful words that build our Social and Emotional Wellness to help us all get along (at home, school, and in the community), raise our student assets, build confidence, and improve our academics!

The word "RESPECT" means "due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others. "

This week, we will learn more about POSITIVE character values that help us all to follow the GOLDEN RULE!  On the vlogcast this week, we will meet Ms. Amber Stotler from Widmyer, see GERM WEEK videos with SID the Science Kid, Clay Germ Animation, and Germ Cartoons, value Vlog about RESPECT song, join a rock video "RESPECT", and finally, Judge McLaughlin joins us for FUN Friday.

Positive Actions appear in our schools this year and begins today on a journey together to discover that starting with positive thoughts, we can choose positive actions, and help us to gain positive feelings!  Take a look at our logo:
