Thurs, Week 36, LOVE on 5/14/2020, w/MC After 3 Kid Puppets, RAISE THE ROOF...

...on student assets!
Where ALL students are UNIQUE and WONDERFULLY MADE!

Today is Raising Student Assets Thursday!

We are so excited to be back for Positive Actions today, May 14, 2020! As we continue to improve our positive thoughts, actions and feelings, today we will take a look at raising student assets with a super important positive action word(s):

love/amor
What do you think the word "love" means.
LOVE, and in Spanish amor, is "to have a deep affection for another, activity, things."

Did you see the 167th Air Guard salute yesterday to honor our hospital workers?  It was beautiful!  Keep connected to Positive Actions for our next activity to share LOVE and follow the Golden Rule:  SEND A THANK YOU VIDEO! (More details coming soon!)

How YOU treat others demonstrates who YOU are!  When YOU follow the Golden Rule and LOVE all people, it feels Positive.  Then, when someone loves back YOU, well.....that feels Positive too.

YOU have the power to make our school, home, and world, a better place with POSITIVE ACTIONS,..it's up to YOU!  Now that we are home for a while, let's try our best to be kind and helpful!  For today, join Carmen the Cat with some helpful positive actions that will help us make friends and show love.

Did YOU feel positive when you saw some LOVE?  I sure did!  Who can YOU show some LOVE with today?  It's a Positive Action!  Tell Mrs. Hott all about it, send me an email to angie@morganpartnership.org!

Now, it's time for FAMILY ART WEEK:
Thursday 5/14- Today’s materials needed: different colored paper or construction paper, scissors, markers/crayons, and glue. (You can even use white paper and color it using crayons or markers if you don’t have colored paper.) Today we will be creating flowers out of construction paper. Make stripes of paper about a ½ - ¾ of an inch thick, the longest width of the paper. You can do this with your family. Draw or color where the center of your flower will be located on your paper. Then place one end of one strip of paper that you cut around the center of the flower. Place there with glue, hold down with your finger, while some else twists the strip of paper creating a “curl.” When you are finished twisting glue the other end down. Continue this process all the way around the center of the flower until you have created petals. Finally, draw your stem and leaves onto your flower with your family. You can be as creative and elaborate as you would like to be with this. There are no rules so have fun with this!!  (PLEASE SEND YOUR CREATIONS TO amanda@morganpartnership.org  WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROJECT) 😊
