"Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History", PBS Race & Diversity Book...





"Featuring forty trailblazing black women in American history, LITTLE LEADERS educates and inspires as it relates true stories of breaking boundaries and achieving beyond expectations."

(Book 9 of 13). The Morgan County Partnership's Positive Action SEL and Wellness Programs present "Little Leaders" written by Vashti Harrison. From PBS, "Through sweet illustrations and educational text, the biographies of 40 remarkable Black women are brought to life. Scientists, artists and activists from history are all included in this inspiring book.

FOR FAMILIES/CLASSROOM TEACHERS, HERE ARE STUDENT ACTIVITIES/DISCUSSION PROMPTS:
* There are many other influential women of color who changed history! Now, try and think of another femal leader's story that was not discussed in today's read-along.
* These women are all INSPIRING! Pause on the next slide to save the image and recreate your own little leader!
