Mrs. Hott is SUPER excited to share Positive Actions with Morgan County students because today, and each Monday, is "Makin' Music Mondays!" where we celebrate in song our "PAW"some school!

Do YOU know that "the way we think about ourselves controls how happy, healthy, and successful we will be"?  In Positive Actions this year, we are discovering that we each have beautiful, unique characteristics that are all important and valuable to our Cougar Community, here, at school, and at home.

This week for your morning "community character vlogcasts," you will see from our awesome school community. Cutie the Cougar and Mrs. Hott went to the 23rd Circuit Court to see Judge Debra McLaughlin.  Just wait to you hear Judge McLaughlin share about RESPECT for our US Constitution and rules that help us all stay safe to get along! More vlogcasts will feature fun videos about RESPECT this week.  Remember this...it is a Positive Action to respect others because we ALL are valuable!

Do YOU know that "the way we think about ourselves controls how happy, healthy, and successful we will be"?  In Positive Actions this year, we are discovering that we each have beautiful, unique characteristics that are all important and valuable to our Cougar Community, here, at school, and at home.

This week for your morning "community character vlogcasts," you will see our awesome volunteer - Mr. Steve!  YAY!   Also, we will watch and learn about how KINDNESS is a Positive Actions.  You will follow a school video and search for RESPECT.  And finally, Fun Friday takes us this week to Roy's Service Center and Betty Lou's Cafe with the super friendly, Ms. Cindy Hovermale and Ms. Buffy Farris!

In the Cougar Den, we will continue to focus on Positive Actions for our INTELLECTUAL WELLNESS, reviewing those great value words, CURIOSITY, CREATIVITY, KNOWLEDGE, and PROBLEM SOLVING (or challenges!).  This week, we talk about "training your brain" using MEMORY!  YOU will find a memory challenge from a very special friend, Ms. Sheima, who has a SURPRISE for YOU (for 3rd & 4th grades)!!!  In 5th grade, we will build a MEMORY LANE!  Exercises for our brain to boost intellectual wellness helps us all with social and academic achievement!

Welcome to Positive Actions Community Character Vlogs!  Today is October 16th!!! Mrs. Hott is SUPER excited to share Positive Actions with Morgan County students because today, and each Monday, is "Makin' Music Mondays!" 

Do YOU know that "the way we think about ourselves controls how happy, healthy, and successful we will be"?  In Positive Actions this year, we will discover that we each have beautiful, unique characteristics that are all important and valuable to our Cougar Community here at school, and at home.

In our Positive Actions classroom time in the Cougar Den for this week, we will be exploring new things about our CHARACTER, being Cougars with INTEGRITY, and sharing our TREASURES -- YOU!! All this while discovering our individual self concepts that create our diverse PAWsitive community.  


Now, for today on Making Music Monday, Mrs. Hott has a world premiere video vlog to share!  While each of you were off school last Monday, your caring teachers were here in meetings all day; including a meeting where Black Cat Music Shop delivered the school's new Mahala Ukuleles!  In just a short time, and with some help from Ms. Thomas, Ms. Rose, and Mr. Mike (a string teacher from Montgomery County) we learned how to tune, strum, and play a few chords.  

Today's vlogcast, is a musical sing-along with a group called the Tri-State Ukulectics.  Our teachers are invited to strum-along with the new instruments and jam with the words to Mr. Cable's Cougar Creed....
